Asherans are fully human, although they lack the RH protein found in native human blood. They came to Earth as refugees when their home planet died, and live among the native population, keeping a low profile.
Many Asherans born on Earth know nothing of their extraterrestrial heritage, and have intermarried with native Earth humans. Dr. Parker not only knows of her Asheran heritage, she disagrees with her people’s desire to keep a low profile and blend in.
